I HATE OLIVER ! Thread

So i am neutral when it comes to my Characters . so if you hate or love OLIVER Tell me why.

I don't hate Oliver but i dislike his ways. Meaning he knows what strings to play with when dealing with Steven.Having walked in his shoes before and knowing what it like being under peer pressure,and tryin to find your place in life is confusing.still say they make better friends then lovers.How can he love Steven and play against that love?

I don't hate Oliver at all and think him and Steven should get back together. He was wrong but we all make mistakes and he's been trying to make things right. I think he's paid enough.

I dont mean to jump on your quote button but how has Oliver paid the price? by coming out to a couple of people? Or suffering for sumthing that his heart should have taken over and lead him away? I don't think he's paid completely but enough. He's suffered from the loss of Steven because of his actions. What Josh did was just as horrible but Steven let him back in and he's still making up for it. I know I sound like one of those abused wives but man you have to put this into a high school context. These are still pretty immature kids finding themselves and learning from their transgressions. I think Oliver is pretty aware of the consequences concerning what he did and I doubt he would throw it all away so foolishly again. Steven apparently still is in love with him. The only thing that was holding him back from trying again with Oliver was his blossoming relationship with Tyler that Oliver wasn't accepting who he was thus still prone to make the same mistake and of course the mistake Amanda was still on his arm. Tyler is now out of the picture as is Amanda and Oliver is taking steps to revealing who he really is to those closest around him.

The flaw is in that which finds the flaw, cause and effect etc..... Oliver is most definitely responsible for his actions but you have to take into account the pressures from his home life. It's too much of a factor in why he did what he did even though he really didn't want to because as revealed he was crying and aching for Steven. Again not excusing him but trying to bring light to why he cheated and continued the charade. He's not doing that anymore. He's confronting his fear and going after what he wants. What he wants is Steven and I'm pretty sure Steven wants him back too. I think a second chance is deserving.

Plus I think this story's main character needs a steady relationship now. Not some new flame or temporary fix like Mark or even somewhat Tyler. Oliver/Steven is what this story needs. I understand the need for drama in these stories so that they don't become stale but I think this one is suffering from too much drama. I think we need a little love right now.

Sorry again for hitting your quote button again but i understand what your saying.I understand that its highschool people that are involed but this is an age where you are getting a better understanding of life and finding youself.I take in case of Oliver home life and no one wants to come out to parents or friends.(been there done that) But i think he is only hurting and wanting to be back in steven life because of the mistake he made. If your heart is so full of love and caring it wouldn't have wanted to wonder and try something different.(even if it was to just fit in) I do think Oliver is coming around but at the same time the whole cheating thing sticks out. Then he showboated around his friends (Amanda's birthday party)when Steven wanted to have as a friend and not a lover. (That not love at any age.) Even when Steven keeps getting him trys to be a friend,he keeps pushing him away.

i do agree that this story needs love (relationship) but the drama adds the spice that is needed also.The whole Steven and Oliver should just remind friends. You can forgive but never forget and at that age (myself a couple of years ago) is a hard thing to do. So as they go back to school for their Jr. or Sr. year just wish they are more mature then when they left.
